The app
Auraform works on your Mac. Your wallpapers, clock and taskbar settings stay on your Mac and are never uploaded.
The app goes online for two things. The first is your license, sent to Polar, the company that sells Auraform:
- When you enter a key, Auraform sends the key and your Mac's name (so you can tell your Macs apart in your Polar customer page).
- About once a week it checks that the key is still valid.
- When you remove the license from a Mac, it tells Polar so that Mac's place is freed.
During the free trial, nothing about your license is sent.
The second is updates. About once a day Auraform asks this site whether there's a newer version, and twice a day it fetches a short list of known problems with new macOS versions, so a part that a macOS update broke can pause itself instead of misbehaving. These requests only say which version of Auraform you have, and the site's host sees your IP address as with any visit. You can turn the update check off on the Parts page and use Check for Updates… instead; the list of known problems is always fetched.
Buying
Checkout is handled by Polar, which sees your name, email, payment details and country to take payment and send your receipt. See Polar's privacy policy.

This site uses no cookies, no trackers and no ads. Fonts and videos are served from this site. It's hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard request logs, like your IP address, to run and protect the site.
The download and updates come from downloads.auraform.app, which is also run by Cloudflare and keeps the same kind of logs.
